Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rudolf Olmos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rudolf Olmos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olmos takes a swing at Hock's ribcage but misses. Hock misses with the combination.
Olmos throws a head kick that misses. Hock pushes Olmos up against the cage in a clinch. Hock is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Olmos breaks from the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Olmos. Hock tries to bum rush Olmos with a series of wild strikes but Olmos uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hock tries to clinch but Olmos is having none of it. Olmos swats away the attempt to clinch by Hock. Hock throws a right and a left that both miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Olmos throws a series of punches but Hock moves out of range. Hock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Olmos. Hock throws a right and a left that both miss. Mike Hock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Olmos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hock as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olmos tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hock counters with a single leg into guard. Olmos didn't expect that. Hock wants to pass the guard but Olmos is keeping the position. Olmos wants to stand up but Hock is controlling him. Olmos trying to keep a closed guard but Hock is proving a slippery customer.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hock can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Olmos is looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Olmos wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hock.

Olmos tries to lock up and control but Hock gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hock lands a heavy elbow. Hock trying to control but Olmos is having none of it. Olmos wants to hold on but Hock pushes him away. Hock prevents Olmos from getting the reversal. Hock lands a big elbow. Hock looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Mike Hock dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hock misses with a takedown attempt and Olmos moves into the clinch. Olmos tries to throw a body punch but Hock avoids it by throwing Olmos back against the cage. Olmos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Olmos dodges the punch combination from Hock.
Hock has his takedown stuffed and Olmos counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Olmos. Olmos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hock swivels though and keeps the full guard. Olmos stopping the sweep attempt from Hock. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hock is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olmos wants to sweep but no luck. Hock is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hock works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hock is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Hock controlling from the full mount. Olmos is wriggling around trying to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hock lands with some strikes. Olmos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hock on the ground. Olmos taking shots to the head. Hock scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Olmos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Olmos tries to get out of the position. Hock lands a big elbow. Olmos tries to hold on but Hock pushes him away. Hock can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Olmos is looking to escape. Olmos is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Hock sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hock cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Olmos tries to lock up and control but Hock gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Hock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Hock lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Olmos! Hock dominating with strikes here. Hock trying to control but Olmos is having none of it. Olmos is in a horrible position here. Hock smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Olmos taking shots to the head. Hock landing strikes from the mount. Olmos tries to reverse the position but Hock maintains control. Hock has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Olmos's face.
Hock lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hock controlling his opponent. Hock has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. BOOM! Hock connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Olmos is squirming around, avoiding Hock's attempts to control the action. Olmos is trying desperately to improve position. Hock working the ground and pound effectively.
Hock looking to control but Olmos is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hock putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Mike Hock is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hock tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Mike Hock just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hock shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hock showed some decent athleticism there. Hock seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Hock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hock winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
