Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cain Alvarado (ranked 5418 p4p, 464 weight class) and Huffy Meadows (ranked 5937 p4p, 494 weight class). Huffy Meadows acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarado has his takedown stuffed
and Meadows counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Alvarado is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Meadows is looking to slow Alvarado down with leg kicks.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Alvarado enables Meadows to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Alvarado manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Meadows really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alvarado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fight stays on the outside here - Alvarado looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Huffy Meadows seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well Meadows has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
