Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocco Dangerfield (ranked 210 p4p, 32 weight class) and John Battock (ranked 304 p4p, 50 weight class). Dangerfield comes to the cage accompanied by Immortal - All Shall Fall. John Battock will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rocco Dangerfield! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Battock! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Battock looks to land a combination. Dangerfield sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Dangerfield steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Battock. Battock connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dangerfield's hands. Battock fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Battock circles away from the clinch attempt.
Battock is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dangerfield. Dangerfield tries to clinch up and Battock counters with a stiff right hand. Battock has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Battock throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Dangerfield definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Battock lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Battock plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dangerfield darts in trying to clinch and Battock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dangerfield takes the fight into the clinch. Battock wants to break free but Dangerfield has control.
Battock prevents a body shot from Dangerfield. Dangerfield tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Battock's elbow. Dangerfield tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Battock misses with a punch to the body.

Dangerfield fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Battock avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocco Dangerfield. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dangerfield doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Battock throws a right hand that Dangerfield ducks under and follows up with a left that Dangerfield also avoids with ease. Battock scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Battock takes a swing at Dangerfield's ribcage but misses. Battock swings widly with a right hand
and Dangerfield counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dangerfield. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dangerfield throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dangerfield is looking to work some ground and pound but Battock has wrist control. Battock has control of Dangerfield's left arm, preventing Dangerfield from doing any damage. Dangerfield throws a big elbow that misses. Dangerfield trying to control but Battock is working from the bottom. Battock pulls Dangerfield in close to prevent any damage. Battock avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Battock not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dangerfield with a flurry of punches that miss. Battock preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Dangerfield pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Battock is keeping the position for now. Battock working a defensive guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Battock is adopting a defensive guard. Dangerfield lands a couple of elbows. Battock looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Dangerfield makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Battock preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Battock is controlling Dangerfield's posture. Dangerfield trying to control the position from guard on top but Battock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dangerfield in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Battock lands with a slapping head kick. Battock throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Battock has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Battock circles away from the clinch attempt and Battock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Dangerfield moves out of range as Battock throws a body kick.
Battock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dangerfield bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Battock is trying to control Dangerfield's posture but Dangerfield avoids it. Dangerfield wants to lay and pray for a moment but Battock keeps working. Battock wants to control but Dangerfield postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dangerfield lands some shots froms side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dangerfield tries to move to mount but Battock blocks the move with his legs. Battock can't do much from the bottom here. Dangerfield has knee on belly and moves into mount. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Battock can do anything to dispel that myth. Dangerfield is landing with some decent strikes but Battock is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Battock is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Dangerfield looking to finish Battock with some ground and pound. This is bad for Battock! Battock tries to lock up and control but Dangerfield gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Battock is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
