Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Tiger (ranked 617 p4p, 70 weight class) and Max Fawce (ranked 1172 p4p, 127 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiger pushes Fawce up against the cage in a clinch.
Tiger looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Fawce drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tiger pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've been told by Tiger's head coaches at Ferocious Beast that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tiger looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tiger tries to close the distance and clinch but Fawce swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Fawce or perhaps it was just good defense by Tiger, which made it look bad.
Tiger seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fawce has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Fawce thuds a left hand into Tiger's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tiger is looking to clinch but Fawce is avoiding it.
