Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between dony jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Riggs's choice of entrance music: Cypress Hill - (Rock) Superstar. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jaa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Riggs as he jumps to the side.
Riggs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Riggs, right into the meat.
jaa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Riggs as he avoids it easily.
jaa has closed the distance and engaged Riggs in a clinch.
Riggs jumps guard.
Riggs preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
jaa stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Oh, that's a big right hand from Riggs and jaa goes tumbling to the canvas! Riggs follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
jaa is rocked!
It looks like dony jaa has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Riggs landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Oh jaa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Riggs thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed jaa's head.

Riggs is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

jaa is looking to control Riggs's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can jaa avoid being mounted?

Riggs is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so jaa is just riding it out for now. Riggs eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
jaa flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
jaa has a takedown stuffed.

jaa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riggs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Riggs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but jaa swivels and escapes.
jaa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
jaa ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

and jaa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and jaa counters by moving into the clinch.

jaa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Riggs blocks a body shot from jaa.
Riggs on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Riggs is trying to work for a single leg takedown but jaa pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Riggs throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but jaa blocks it with crossed arms.
jaa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Riggs is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Riggs jumps guard and drags jaa to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

and jaa counters with a flying knee. Nice.

and Riggs holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Ben Riggs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Riggs jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as jaa walks away with a smile on his face. Riggs gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
jaa wants to clinch up but Riggs keeps it at a distance.

and jaa counters with a head kick. That will keep Riggs thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and jaa counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Riggs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ben Riggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Riggs wants to stand and escape but jaa is having none of it.

Riggs bucks up and tries to throw jaa off but instead jaa has got his back!
Riggs is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Riggs is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Riggs is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

and jaa counters with a head kick. That will keep Riggs thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Riggs tries to close the distance and clinch up but jaa swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Riggs holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
jaa jumps guard but Riggs stands there with jaa around his waist. jaa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
jaa tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Riggs smiles and moves away.
dony jaa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ben Riggs is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
