Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane MacGowan (ranked 2580 p4p, 367 weight class) and Tsutomu Miyazaki (ranked 2841 p4p, 388 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think MacGowan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Pogues - Streams of Whiskey. Shane MacGowan has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shane MacGowan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tsutomu Miyazaki! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miyazaki looks to throw the jab but MacGowan is out of range. Tsutomu Miyazaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. MacGowan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
MacGowan misses with a straight left. MacGowan misses with a takedown attempt - Miyazaki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Miyazaki pushing out the jab but it's not landing. MacGowan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Miyazaki. It seemed like Miyazaki was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Miyazaki ducks under a wild hook from MacGowan. Miyazaki just misses with a punch to the body.
Miyazaki gets caught flat footed, as MacGowan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We've been hearing good reports from MacGowan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. MacGowan stops Miyazaki from standing up. MacGowan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. MacGowan throwing strikes from guard but Miyazaki blocks nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacGowan content to stall in guard here. MacGowan postures up in Miyazaki's guard and throws a big left but Miyazaki blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacGowan working some strikes from top position. MacGowan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. MacGowan cracks Miyazaki with a solid left hand. MacGowan pushes down on Miyazaki's leg and manages to get into half guard. MacGowan stalling. MacGowan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Miyazaki avoiding damage under a succession of punches from MacGowan. MacGowan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. MacGowan in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Miyazaki tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from MacGowan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Shane MacGowan! Shane MacGowan is the new welterweight champion! Shane MacGowan seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
