Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Anvile!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joseph Savard!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot by Anvile.
A looping hook to the body misses from Anvile. Savard does a little dance to reset his feet.
Savard digs a good body shot into Anvile's ribs.
Anvile staying out of range there.
Anvile has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Touch Of Death Combat Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Anvile takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Savard throws a right hand that misses

and Anvile counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Anvile passes to full mount!
Savard is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Anvile is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Savard can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Savard really wants to buck Anvile off and get back to his feet.
Savard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anvile. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anvile has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
You get the feeling that Savard really doesn't like being in this position too much.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Savard can do anything to dispel that myth.

Anvile is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Savard to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Savard shrugs it off.

You get the feeling that Savard really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Savard has left one of his arms exposed and Anvile doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Savard screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
