The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kain fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kain darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Raymond moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kain wants to control from the top but Raymond keeps moving.
Kain tries to free his leg and advance position but Raymond is retaining full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Raymond wants to get back to his feet but Kain passes into half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Raymond slips a nice elbow through Kain's hands, connecting with Kain's forehead.
Raymond is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kain is just riding it out for now. Raymond eventually gives up the hold.
Kain has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Raymond is working away from the top position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
