Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxim Bok (ranked 1556 p4p, 48 weight class) and Archie Trew (ranked 522 p4p, 18 weight class). Bok comes to the cage accompanied by Give It Revolution. Trew is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fuck You - Lily Allen. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maxim Bok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Archie Trew!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bok swings and misses with a shot to the body
enabling Trew to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Maxim Bok has been cut.

Trew closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bok is trying to improve his position.
Bok dodges the ground and pound from Trew.
Bok is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Trew's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Bok wants to improve his position but Trew is controlling well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trew felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Bok seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Bok throws out a loose jab but Trew uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bok moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


It looks like Archie Trew has been cut.
Trew motions for Bok to come forward. Trew throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Trew misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bok changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Bok smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Trew shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Trew is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bok's half guard.

Bok might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That was a close second round but I would say that Maxim Bok will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Bok shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Trew napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Trew is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Trew is not content to let Bok control the position.
Who's going to make the next move?
Bok tries to move to mount but Trew blocks the move with his legs.
Trew dodges the ground and pound from Bok.
Bok wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trew keeps working.
Bok has control of an arm but Trew manages to advance to Bok's back!

Bok is in bad spot here.
Trew scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Trew tries to get the hooks in deep but Bok pushed the leg off.
Bok trying to control the action but Trew just sinks the hooks in.
Trew is landing with strikes from the back.
Trew scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Bok is looking for a way out.
Trew lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Trew seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bok does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bok stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trew swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well Bok has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
