Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johny Vargas (ranked 2327 p4p, 239 weight class) and Callum Welsh (ranked 5941 p4p, 500 weight class). Vargas comes to the cage accompanied by Drake - Trophies. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welsh throws a nice outside leg kick.
Vargas misses with a wild combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Vargas keeps the fight on the outside.

Welsh connects with a high kick.
Vargas drops Welsh with a right and a left! Vargas comes rushing in but Welsh regains his composure and manages to keep Vargas in guard.
Welsh is rocked!
It looks like Callum Welsh has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vargas gets to his feet and stands over Welsh, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Welsh felt that one! Vargas unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Welsh from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johny Vargas!
