PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harold Shipman (ranked 633 p4p, 68 weight class) and Rosinante Costacurta (ranked 448 p4p, 53 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shipman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Amazing. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costacurta slaps away a takedown attempt from Shipman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Shipman misses with a takedown
and Shipman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Harold Shipman has been cut.
Costacurta buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Shipman misses with a straight right.
Costacurta throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shipman misses with a wild combination.
Shipman fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harold Shipman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shipman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Costacurta throws a body shot but no joy.
Shipman tries to clinch up but Costacurta circles away and keeps his distance.

Shipman has Costacurta up against the cage in a clinch.

Costacurta's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Costacurta counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Costacurta fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Shipman to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Shipman looks to clinch but Costacurta throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Shipman taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
