Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Massey (ranked 6468 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Parker (ranked 8359 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker has chosen Eazy E - Only if you want it as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Massey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Parker! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Massey's waist but Massey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Parker off to one side. Massey scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Parker tries to escape but Massey is in control. The ground and pound from Massey seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Parker is pushing Massey's head away, looking to escape. Massey manages to hold on to the position though. Massey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Massey goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Parker has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Massey but great work by Parker. Massey pushes Parker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Parker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Parker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Massey, who protects the arm well. Massey explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Massey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Massey won't allow Parker to get back to his feet. Massey throws a strike but Parker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Massey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Parker throwing strikes but missing. Parker trying to control the position from guard on top but Massey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Massey is trying to keep Parker in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Parker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Parker prevents Massey from getting back to his feet. Parker wants to control from the top but Massey keeps moving. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Parker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Parker trying to control but Massey is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Excellent takedown into side control there by Massey.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Massey is trying to get an arm triangle but Parker is defending well. Parker is trying to control Massey's posture but Massey avoids it. Massey is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Parker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Parker sneaks back into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Parker looks like he's trying to stand up.
Parker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Massey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Massey's back! Massey trying to get back to his feet but Parker is in full control for now. Parker is landing with strikes. Massey can't take much more of this. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Massey rolls, trying to escape but Parker keeps control of the position.
Massey is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Parker gets his way!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Josh Parker will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Parker tries to bum rush Massey with a series of wild strikes but Massey uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Massey closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Parker quickly recovers to half guard. Massey wants to work for an arm triangle but Parker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Massey is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Parker has managed to free his arm - good work. Parker is trying is best to control the position here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Parker is looking to stand up but Massey isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Parker is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Parker is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Massey's half guard. Parker is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker wants to pass to mount but Massey is defending the position. Massey has hold of Parker's hands but Parker slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Parker is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Massey looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Parker is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Massey defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker trying to control from half guard but Massey is working away. Massey is trying to stand up here but Parker is controlling him well. Nice strikes from Parker there.
Massey is rocked! Parker lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Massey! More strikes land and this one is all over! Parker jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
