Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, The Artist! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dean Sutherland! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Artist takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Nice shot lands for Sutherland. Artist shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Artist was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Artist looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sutherland defending against the ground and pound. Artist creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sutherland sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Artist is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sutherland has escaped the position, nice work there. Artist postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! This has been an exciting period of action! Sutherland is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Artist throws an elbow but Sutherland slips to the side and avoids it well. Sutherland is trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Artist is trying to get an arm triangle but Sutherland is defending well. Artist tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Artist wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sutherland, who protects the arm well. Artist in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Artist tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Artist in side control lands a decent elbow. Artist has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sutherland is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Artist yanks on the arm and Sutherland is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Artist.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). The Artist! After winning the bout, The Artist thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
