Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Major Melvin (ranked 7005 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Snake (ranked 8082 p4p, 0 weight class). Major Melvin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Major Melvin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, The Snake!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melvin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Snake counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Melvin thinking.

Melvin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Snake tries to escape but Melvin is in control.
Melvin controlling the position from side mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Melvin decides to stand back up. Melvin steps back and let's Snake get back to his feet.

Snake has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Melvin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Melvin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Snake enables Melvin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Snake manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Melvin paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Snake - great work!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). The Snake!
A less than humble The Snake misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
