Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fermin Larson (ranked 25018 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Galloway (ranked 6349 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fermin Larson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julius Galloway! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larson shoots in for a takedown but Galloway shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Larson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Galloway.
Galloway lands a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Larson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Galloway, pushing him back against the cage. Galloway gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Larson.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee calls for Galloway to work.
Larson wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fermin Larson. That's going to take a lot out of him. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Galloway. A telegraphed right hand from Galloway misses the target. Galloway stuffs the takedown attempt from Larson. Larson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Galloway feints and as Larson raises his hands in defense, Galloway changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Galloway controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Let's hope that Galloway has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Larson instigates a clinch. Larson wants to take the fight to the mat but Galloway manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Larson looking for a takedown. Galloway has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Galloway has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Larson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Galloway is riding his opponent, not letting Larson buck him off. Larson avoids the strikes from Galloway.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Galloway is striking from the back but Larson escapes and manages to recover to half guard. Galloway thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Larson's head. Galloway is figuring out what he wants to do next. Galloway's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Larson is defending against the submission attempts here by Galloway.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Galloway.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Larson has Galloway up against the cage in a clinch.

Galloway gets full guard. Galloway tries to land a sweep but no joy. Galloway looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Galloway lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Galloway looking to control the position here, rather than advance. More stalling from Galloway.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Galloway with more of the same as he continues to hold on. Fermin Larson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Julius Galloway is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Yet more stalling tactics from Galloway.

And that's the end of the fight! Julius Galloway comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Galloway has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
