The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Miranda.
Miranda gets tackled into the cage by Scharf. Scharf maintains the clinch.

It looks like Monroe Miranda has been cut.

Miranda is rocked!
A head punch on the inside from Scharf fails to land.
Oh Miranda is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Scharf is pressed up against the cage. Miranda has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Scharf down to the mat. Scharf avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Scharf defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Miranda.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monroe Miranda. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miranda drops his hands momentarily. Scharf doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Miranda staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Miranda doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
