Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Green Knight (ranked 2650 p4p, 363 weight class) and Frank Tyson (ranked 2813 p4p, 375 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Green Knight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Tyson! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Knight misses the jab. Tyson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Knight tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Tyson manages to circle out of the way. Frank Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Tyson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Knight was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Tyson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Green Knight has been cut. Sloppy strikes from Tyson. Those never looked like landing. It looked like Knight wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. No joy there for Tyson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Tyson is looking to stand up but Knight isn't so interested in that idea. Tyson keeping moving, preventing Knight from controlling successfully. Knight cracks Tyson with a solid left hand. Tyson can't keep his opponent in guard - Knight advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Knight landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Knight frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Tyson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Can Knight finish him? Tyson tries to hold on but Knight postures up. Tyson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Knight is staying active. Knight with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That was a close round but I would say that Green Knight will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Green Knight's cut. That's time! Knight's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Tyson throws a right hand that Knight ducks under and follows up with a left that Knight also avoids with ease. It looked like Knight wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Knight dives in for a single leg takedown but Tyson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Tyson with a nice cross. Knight shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tyson sprawls well. Tyson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Knight gets slowly back to his feet. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Tyson fails to land with a series of punches.

In favor of your winner, by majority decision... Green Knight! Green Knight opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
