Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zack Porter (ranked 8402 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Hernandez (ranked 6264 p4p, 0 weight class). Eric Hernandez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Zack Porter's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zack Porter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hernandez takes a swing at Porter's ribcage but misses. Hernandez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Porter napping and manages to drive through into side control! Porter controls the position for a moment. Hernandez trying to control the action but Porter is working from the bottom. Porter is trying to improve his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hernandez wants to control but Porter is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez happy to just control the position for now. Hernandez tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Porter wants to control but Hernandez postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hernandez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Porter, who protects the arm well. Hernandez landing a few strikes. The ground and pound from Hernandez seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Hernandez advances to mount. Hernandez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Porter can't escape the position.
Hernandez controlling the pace for now. Porter tries to lock up and control but Hernandez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hernandez with the ground and pound from mount. Porter is desperately trying to improve his position but Hernandez has a good base and remains in mount. Hernandez wants to control the pace but Porter is squirming around nicely. Hernandez controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Porter gets back to half guard. Porter really is a fat lump. Porter is not content to let Hernandez control the position. Hernandez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Porter defends it well. Hernandez not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hernandez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Porter's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Hernandez dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Porter slips a jab and a cross from Hernandez.
A head kick misses from Hernandez. Hernandez throws a head kick but Porter moves out of range.
Porter appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Hernandez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Zack Porter has been cut. Porter has Hernandez up against the cage in a clinch.
Hernandez gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Porter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hernandez trying to control the position from guard on top but Porter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hernandez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Porter works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Porter wants to sweep here but Hernandez controlling him for the moment. Hernandez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hernandez controlling from the top position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A slapping leg kick lands for Hernandez.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hernandez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hernandez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! A lull in the action here as Hernandez stalls from top position. Hernandez in side control, throwing shots but Porter defends. Porter taking a bit of punishment here - Hernandez scoring with strikes. Hernandez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Porter, who protects the arm well. Porter managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hernandez.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hernandez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Porter keeps working. Hernandez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Porter haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Hernandez content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Porter is not content to let Hernandez control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Porter is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Hernandez takes a little break here. Porter wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hernandez has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hernandez lands a nice looking body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Hernandez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Zack Porter's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Hernandez gets in close and tags Porter with a short punch that almost sends Porter to the mat! Oh Porter is in big trouble! He turns his back on Hernandez, trying to create some distance but Hernandez rushes him, striking wildly and Porter goes down! The referee tackles Hernandez into the cage to end the fight! Hernandez is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Hernandez!
