Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Dawson (ranked 3161 p4p, 351 weight class) and Thierry Paulin (ranked 4178 p4p, 452 weight class). Dawson comes to the cage accompanied by Titanic theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dawson tries to clinch but Paulin is having none of it.
Paulin throws a head kick that misses.
Paulin scoring well with a low kick there.
Dawson moves in looking to clinch but Paulin pushes him off.
Paulin ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Paulin throws a push kick but Dawson slaps the foot to one side.
It looked like Dawson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Dawson drives through and clinches with Paulin against the cage.
Paulin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Paulin wants to break the clinch but can't.

Paulin breaks the clinch.
Dawson tries to land a leg kick but Paulin saw it coming and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dawson lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Thierry Paulin has been cut.
Paulin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Dawson lands a nice elbow.
Dawson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Paulin has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Paulin breaks from the clinch.

Paulin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Dawson darts in and clinches Paulin up against the cage.

Dawson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Paulin blocks it with crossed arms.
Paulin on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Paulin lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dawson backwards.
Paulin working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Paulin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Paulin lands an overhand right.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Paulin lands a big uppercut and Dawson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Dawson looks OK. Paulin waves Dawson back to his feet!

Dawson is rocked!
Paulin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A chopping leg kick lands by Paulin.

Paulin sends Dawson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Paulin is motioning to the referee to let Dawson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Dawson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dawson closes the distance and clinches.
Paulin stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Dawson is breathing heavily.

Dawson misses with an elbow strike.
Our sources have told us that Dawson has been working on his elbows in the gym.

Dawson seems to have got his legs back now.

Paulin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Paulin cracks Dawson with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
