Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eli Crompton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Hadley!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hadley misses with a two punch combination.
Crompton wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Crompton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hadley wants to control but Crompton postures up.

Crompton tries for a kimura but Hadley is defending well.
Hadley trying to remain calm as Crompton controls from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hadley is working to avoid the ground and pound but Crompton connects with a decent elbow.

Crompton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Crompton is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hadley will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Hadley takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Crompton looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hadley is avoiding damage well.

Crompton content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Crompton stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Hadley wants to clinch.
Crompton is looking to counter the offense by Hadley and move into the clinch.
Crompton throws a looping overhand right but Hadley ducks down to avoid it.
Hadley has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Hadley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Crompton.

Crompton looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hadley is looking to control Crompton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hadley avoid being mounted?

Crompton seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hadley is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hadley wants to control but Crompton is keeping busy and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hadley on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Crompton in particular looking to stall.

Crompton wants to work for an arm triangle but Hadley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Crompton content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Hadley goes for a double leg but Crompton avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Crompton continues to drive forward.

Crompton shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Crompton showed some decent athleticism there.
Crompton keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hadley wants to control but Crompton is keeping busy.

Hadley looking for submissions off his back.

Crompton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Hadley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Crompton is working away from the top position though.
Crompton tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hadley knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Hadley looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Crompton is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Crompton makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Crompton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Hadley is looking to cinch up a triangle. Crompton throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hadley's body to avoid the submission. Hadley has instead reached around Crompton's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hadley arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
