The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Boy tries for a takedown but Cowell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cowell has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cowell has Boy pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Cowell pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Boy tumbling to the mat - Cowell dives into Boy's guard.
Boy keeping moving, preventing Cowell from controlling successfully.
Cowell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Boy is keeping the position for now.
Boy looking for a sweep. Not yet Boy, not yet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cowell might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Boy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Cowell shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Cowell wants to advance to full mount but Boy doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Boy is trying to control the position but Cowell postures up.
Boy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cowell is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Cowell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cowell closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boy to the mat! Boy manages to get full guard.

Boy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Cowell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Boy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cowell is one step ahead there.

Cowell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cowell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Boy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boy has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Cowell doesn't defend quickly enough and Boy has managed to lock this one up! Can Cowell escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Boy on a fantastic submission victory.
