The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint Pierre connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Saint Pierre tries to keep at a distance but Chen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Chen tries to break the clinch but Saint Pierre is controlling the position.
Saint Pierre decides to pull guard.
Chen looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Chen scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Chen throws a big elbow that misses.
Chen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Chen stands and steps away. Saint Pierre gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Saint Pierre, pushing him back against the cage.
Saint Pierre successfully pulls guard.
Chen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Chen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Saint Pierre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chen has managed to get both his arms back between Saint Pierre's legs - danger averted.

Saint Pierre wants to sweep but no luck.
Chen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Saint Pierre looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Chen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Chen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Saint Pierre's head.
Saint Pierre is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chen defends well.
Chen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saint Pierre is trying to keep Chen in close.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chen wants to stand but Saint Pierre has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Chen stands and steps away. Saint Pierre gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Saint Pierre tries to keep at a distance but Chen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Saint Pierre gets control of Chen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Saint Pierre will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Chen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Saint Pierre looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Saint Pierre has a closed guard, preventing Chen from standing up.
Chen trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Chen distracts Saint Pierre with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Chen is sitting in close to Saint Pierre's body. Saint Pierre has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Chen is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Chen is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Saint Pierre.
