The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martins shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kaleva defends it nicely.
Martins doesn't manage to clinch there - Kaleva circles away.
Kaleva throws out a counter right but Martins avoids it with no problem.
Kaleva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Martins to the mat! Martins manages to get full guard.
Kaleva trying to control the position from guard on top but Martins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kaleva slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Kaleva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kaleva is in close to Martins's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing good reports from Martins's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Martins is rocked!
Kaleva gets to his feet and stands over Martins, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Martins felt that one! Kaleva unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Martins from any more punishment!
