Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Osvald Klimi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shaun Ross!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klimi throws a head kick but Ross moves out of range.
Klimi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ross counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ross sizes up Klimi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ross tries to keep at a distance but Klimi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ross lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ross tries to work over Klimi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Ross tries a body shot but Klimi blocks it.
A short right from Ross on the inside.
Ross jumps guard.
Ross has Klimi pulled in close to control his posture.
Let's hope that Ross has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Klimi is looking to stand up but Ross won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ross manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Klimi manages to get himself to full guard.
Ross postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ross working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Klimi's head.
Ross landing some decent shots from guard.
Ross lands a couple of elbows.
Klimi wants to improve his position but instead Ross has moved into half guard.
Ross frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Klimi working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ross lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Ross cracks Klimi with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Klimi is breathing heavily.
Ross in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Ross is in the full mount, landing strikes.
BOOM! Ross connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Klimi is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ross landing strikes from the mount and Klimi is in trouble!
Oh Klimi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ross lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Ross softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Klimi is out cold! Ross jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
