Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tobias Funke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Jackoffski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Funke comes into the arena with Disturbed - Glass Shatters blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tobias Funke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Jackoffski! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackoffski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Funke tries to get to full guard but Jackoffski has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackoffski is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Funke has managed to free his arm - good work. Jackoffski prevents Funke from improving his position. Funke is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jackoffski pulls his head out easily. Jackoffski is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The fighters are battling for position here. Funke manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackoffski won't allow Funke to get back to his feet. Jackoffski drops back looking for a leg! Funke is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Funke manages to kick Jackoffski off! Jackoffski jumps back into Funke's guard. Jackoffski trying to control but Funke is working from the bottom. Jackoffski postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Funke is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jackoffski, into his guard. Funke wants to control from the top but Jackoffski keeps moving. Jackoffski working for submissions but it's allowed Funke to get to half guard.
Funke is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jackoffski wants to improve his position but Funke is controlling well.
Funke trying to control the action but Jackoffski is working from the bottom. Funke not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jackoffski gets full guard. Funke throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jackoffski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jackoffski looks gassed! Funke is pushing down on Jackoffski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jackoffski is fighting to maintain full guard but Funke has managed to sneak the leg through. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Funke connects with a nice short shot to Jackoffski's temple. Jackoffski tries to get to full guard but Funke has control of the leg. Funke is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Funke is looking to advance position but Jackoffski won't allow it. Jackoffski wants to get back to full guard. Funke stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Funke feints and as Jackoffski raises his hands in defense, Funke changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Funke has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jackoffski is proving hard to escape from. Funke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jackoffski working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Funke. Funke trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jackoffski's guard.

Funke trying to control but Jackoffski is working from the bottom. Jackoffski has his foot on Funke's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Funke works his way back into a safe position though. Jackoffski throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

A close round but Justin Jackoffski will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Funke's corner calls for a 1-2. Funke obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Jackoffski is looking to clinch but Funke is avoiding it.
Funke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jackoffski lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Funke! Jackoffski takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jackoffski is staying active underneath Funke, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Funke passes to side control. Funke stands up and beckons Jackoffski to his feet. Tobias Funke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Funke is looking to clinch but Jackoffski is avoiding it.
Tobias Funke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Funke cracks a nice hook into Jackoffski's ribs. Jackoffski misses with a takedown attempt and Funke counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Funke is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackoffski defends it well. Jackoffski is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Funke pulls his head out easily.

Funke tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jackoffski knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jackoffski regains full guard. Nicely done. Funke trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackoffski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackoffski looking for a guillotine here but Funke defends easily.
Jackoffski is looking for a triangle but Funke pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Funke wants to pass the guard but Jackoffski is keeping the position. Jackoffski throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Jackoffski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Funke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jackoffski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Funke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tobias Funke dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Funke lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jackoffski tries for a takedown but Funke circles away easily and Funke counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Funke is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jackoffski wants to sweep here but Funke controlling him for the moment. Funke stands and steps away. Jackoffski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Funke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackoffski paws at him with a jab and circles away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Funke misses with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Funke throws a right hand that Jackoffski ducks under and follows up with a left that Jackoffski also avoids with ease. Jackoffski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackoffski showed some decent athleticism there. Funke is looking for a sweep. Jackoffski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jackoffski works his way into side control. Jackoffski advances to full mount. Jackoffski wants to take his opponent's back but Funke doesn't allow it. Tobias Funke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jackoffski looking for a guillotine from mount but Funke is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackoffski looking to ground and pound but Funke is blocking nicely. Jackoffski wants to take Funke's back here but Funke is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Funke wants to hold on but Jackoffski pushes him away. Jackoffski is working for a guillotine from mount but Funke frees his head quite easily.

Funke tries to lock up and control but Jackoffski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Funke is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Funke has given up his back here. Will Jackoffski look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Well, with Jackoffski on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Funke is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Funke is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jackoffski gets his way!
Funke controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Jackoffski is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Funke taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Jackoffski.
