PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Soprano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soprano comes to the cage accompanied by Got yourself a Gun. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anthony Soprano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pat Terrier!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soprano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Terrier tries to avoid it but Soprano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Terrier to the ground. Terrier escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Soprano counters with a single leg into guard. Terrier didn't expect that.

Soprano avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Terrier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soprano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Soprano trying to control the position from guard on top but Terrier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Soprano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Terrier swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Soprano thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Terrier looking to hit a scissor sweep but Soprano is one step ahead there.
Terrier is wriggling around but Soprano manages to pass to half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Soprano stuffs the takedown.

Terrier rushes Soprano and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Terrier tries to break the clinch but Soprano is controlling the position.
Terrier can't break the clinch.
Terrier is trying to break the clinch but Soprano has him pressed against the cage.
Soprano lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Pat Terrier has been cut.
Nice elbow from Soprano.
Terrier takes a shot to the head.
Terrier lands with a right to the head.
Still in the clinch, Terrier scores with a nice short uppercut.
Terrier stalling against the cage.

Soprano gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Soprano not doing much here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Terrier avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Soprano.
Soprano landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Terrier is looking for a sweep. Soprano is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Soprano seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Terrier is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
