Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Murray Garland (ranked 4264 p4p, 384 weight class) and Rodrick Shull (ranked 5345 p4p, 455 weight class). Garland comes to the cage accompanied by Muzzy on the Dancefloor. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Murray Garland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rodrick Shull! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Garland lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shull has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shull and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Garland is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Shull looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Garland bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Garland is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Shull knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shull stops Garland from passing to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garland is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shull has escaped the position, nice work there. Shull tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garland wants to control but Shull is keeping him busy. Garland lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Garland is looking to take a break and control but Shull is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shull can do anything to dispel that myth. Shull tries to buck Garland off but Garland is having none of it. Garland tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Garland has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Shull holding on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Garland controlling from side mount. Shull wants to control but Garland postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Shull's face as Garland controls the position. Garland misses with the ground and pound. Who's going to make the next move? Garland is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Shull will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Shull tries to bench press Garland off him but Garland keeps the position. Garland tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Shull really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garland. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shull controls the position for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Garland in side control, just content to control the action for now. Shull is not content to let Garland control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Garland shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Murray Garland dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Garland fails to land with a series of punches.
Garland doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Shull's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Shull duly obliges. Garland blocks a jab. Murray Garland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Garland displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shull throws out the jab. A momentary lapse in concentration from Shull enables Garland to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shull manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Shull wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Garland works over Shull with some ground and pound from guard. Shull looking for a sweep. Not yet Shull, not yet. Shull can't keep his opponent in guard - Garland advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Shull preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garland not landing any meaningful shots this time. Garland is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shull can do to turn this around? Garland seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shull does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Shull regains full guard. Nicely done. Garland trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Garland postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Garland stays in close to Shull's body and controls the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Garland trying to stand up but can't free himself from Shull's guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. The crowd cheers as Shull lands an impressive looking overhand right. Garland doesn't seem phased though. Murray Garland is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Garland looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Shull desperately trying to maintain half guard. Garland will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Garland looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Shull tries to roll over but Garland keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garland is figuring out what he wants to do next. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garland wants to take a breather but Shull is having none of it. Garland wants to work for an arm triangle but Shull is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Shull wants to improve his position but Garland is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Garland wants to take a breather but Shull is having none of it. Shull keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Garland missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Shull tries to roll over but Garland keeps him under control. Murray Garland dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Nice cross by Shull. Shull gets caught napping as Garland dives in and scores a takedown. Shull manages to retain guard. Murray Garland overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Garland is looking to work some ground and pound but Shull has wrist control. Garland slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Garland has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Shull is controlling Garland's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garland trying to control the position from guard on top but Shull is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Garland slips nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garland is thwarting Shull's attempts to control the position. Shull is refusing to be controlled, as Garland sits in half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Garland is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Rodrick Shull has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Garland tries to stand and escape but Shull is controlling the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Garland tries to clinch there but Shull circles away.
Shull misses with a body shot.
Garland scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Garland wants to stand but Shull has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Garland trying to pass the guard but Shull defending well. Garland is thwarting Shull's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shull is in trouble now - Garland has advanced to mount! Garland tries to control but Shull wriggling away. Garland has hold of Shull's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Shull manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Garland trying to control but Shull is having none of it. Murray Garland is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. And that's the end of the fight! Murray Garland showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garland, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Murray Garland! In his post fight interview, Murray Garland started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
