The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryan shoots in and bounces Thai off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Thai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thai wants to sweep but no luck.

Ryan drops back looking for a leg! Thai is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thai manages to kick Ryan off! Ryan jumps back into Thai's guard.

Ryan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Thai working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryan forces his way into half guard.
Ryan is taking a breather. Thai says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ryan wants to pass the guard but Thai is defending well.

Ryan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thai defends it well.

Ryan seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Thai is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
