Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fanger gets a takedown into half guard.
Fanger is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Gono has managed to free his arm - good work.
Gono has one foot on Fanger's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Gono smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Lance Fanger has been cut.
Gono misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fanger ducks under a wild hook from Gono.
Fanger drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gono wants to stand but Fanger is controlling the position.
Fanger loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Gono utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fanger passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Fanger tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fanger has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Fanger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fanger wants to control but Gono is keeping him busy.

Fanger connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gono some visible discomfort.
Gono bucks up and tries to throw Fanger off but instead Fanger has got his back!
Gono is taking damage to the body and head.
Fanger lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Fanger.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gono trying to get back to his feet but Fanger is in full control for now.
Fanger is working for a rear naked choke. Gono is not defending it well and Fanger has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Gono refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Gono's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lance Fanger!
