Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gene Lawler (ranked 2118 p4p, 71 weight class) and Manny Warren (ranked 1870 p4p, 58 weight class). Lawler's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Man. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gene Lawler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Manny Warren!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warren fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Warren loads up on a big right hand but Lawler slips the punch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Lawler moves out of range as Warren strikes.
Lawler tries for a takedown but Warren sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lawler tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Warren defends well and Lawler ends up having to push Warren into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Warren has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Warren throws a hook but Lawler avoids it easily.
Warren gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Warren is looking to stand up but Lawler isn't so interested in that idea.
Lawler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Lawler drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Lawler as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Warren screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Lawler! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Gene Lawler!
Gene Lawler took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
