Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Warren (ranked 25094 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Shawn (ranked 8157 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguel Warren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hugh Shawn! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shawn misses with a two punch combination.
Warren has a takedown stuffed. As Warren backs off Shawn throws a huge counter combo but Warren manages to avoid it all. Shawn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Warren. Shawn misses with a looping left. Warren moves out of range as Shawn strikes. Warren uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shawn. Warren avoids a punch combination nicely.
Warren could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shawn throws a hook but Warren blocks it. As Shawn looks to move away, Warren throws a big counter combo but Shawn just gets out of the way. A telegraphed right hand from Shawn misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warren tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Shawn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Warren walks into a jab. Shawn misses with a straight right. Shawn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shawn wants it to stay on the feet. Shawn swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Warren. That's going to take a lot out of him. Warren shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shawn as he avoids it easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Shawn! But no joy. Shawn throws a lazy right hand but Warren sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Warren tries for a takedown but Shawn circles away easily and Shawn counters with a nice body shot. Shawn throws the left hand but Warren avoids the punch easily. Warren is looking for a counter combo. Shawn swings for the body but Warren moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shawn tries to bum rush Warren with a series of wild strikes but Warren uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Shawn stuffs the takedown. Warren tries for a takedown but Shawn circles away easily and Warren takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Shawn uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Warren shoots in looking for a takedown but Shawn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Warren's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Warren shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Shawn napping and manages to drive through into side control! This has been an exciting period of action! Warren is looking to take a break and control but Shawn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shawn dodges the ground and pound from Warren.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Warren postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Shawn parries the strikes from Warren easily there. Warren is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Shawn to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shawn is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Shawn is not content to let Warren control the position. Warren gets to mount! Shawn was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Shawn reaches up and holds on to Warren to control the position. Shawn is working to get back to half guard.
Warren lands a big shot there that rocks Shawn but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Shawn wants to control but Warren is having none of it. Warren fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Warren trying to control but he's not successful this time. Shawn avoids a series of strikes thrown by Warren.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hugh Shawn dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Warren bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Miguel Warren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Warren shoots in for a takedown but Shawn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Warren misses with a takedown and Shawn counters with a nice uppercut. Miguel Warren is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Warren is defended easily by Shawn. That's one minute gone in the round. Shawn feints a jab promting Warren to slip. Shawn then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Warren slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Warren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Warren fails with the takedown and Shawn counters with a straight right hand. Warren shoots in looking for a takedown. Shawn tries to sprawl out of it but Warren keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shawn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Warren shoots in for a double leg but Shawn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shawn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Warren is looking for a counter combo. Shawn blocks a head kick by Warren.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Warren misses with a takedown attempt letting Shawn counter with a right hand. Warren gets in close and instigates a clinch. Shawn working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shawn lands a hook that snaps the head of Warren backwards. Oh Warren is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A head punch on the inside from Shawn fails to land. Shawn misses with some punches.

Shawn has had enough of the clinch but Warren keeps him there for the moment. A head punch blocked on the inside by Warren. Shawn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shawn lands with a right and another and another! Warren is in big trouble! Shawn lands again and this time it's lights out for Warren! A quality knockout there for Shawn.
