The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henrique shoots for a double leg takedown but Snake sprawls well. He's pushed Henrique's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Henrique backing away here, and Snake unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Henrique fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Henrique misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Snake was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Henrique closes the distance and clinches.
Snake is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Henrique tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Snake should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Snake tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Henrique smiles and moves away.

Snake's coach down at Cozad MMA Rio was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Snake's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Henrique thows an elbow strike that misses. Snake gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Henrique doesn't seem too bothered but Snake quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Henrique is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Henrique really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
