Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oshan Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Byron Tipton!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a straight left.
Jackson throws a hook to the side of Tipton's head but Tipton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A jab from Jackson finds it's way through Tipton's defenses.
Tipton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tipton.
Jackson looks to land a left hand but Tipton moved out of range nicely.
Jackson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Jackson throws a big shot that misses.
A combination from Jackson does no damage.
Tipton is looking for the big counter here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson scores with a jab.
We've been hearing reports that Jackson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jackson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tipton looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Tipton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tipton takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Oshan Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Byron Tipton.
Tipton scores with a head kick. Jackson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Tipton moves forwards but Jackson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Oshan Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jackson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tiptons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Jackson throws a shot from downtown. Tipton moves away and avoids it.
Tipton shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tipton tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tipton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jackson.
Jackson lands a nice hook to Tipton's body. Tipton takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Tipton ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Tipton avoids them all with ease.
Tipton fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jackson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tipton sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tipton is looking for the big counter here.
Jackson tries to bum rush Tipton with a series of wild strikes but Tipton uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Tipton tries to work over Jackson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Jackson.

Still in the clinch, Jackson scores with a nice short uppercut.

Tipton drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jackson lands with a light punch inside.
Tipton is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him?
Jackson gets through Tipton's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Jackson swings wildly with an uppercut but Tipton uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jackson pushes Tipton back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Jackson has Tipton pressed against the cage.

A short body shot lands from Jackson as the two fighters clinch.
Jackson misses with a short punch on the inside.
Jackson lands a right hand.
Jackson dips a shoulder and cracks Tipton with a mighty uppercut! Tipton falls back against the cage and Jackson unloads with a barrage of strikes! Tipton is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Jackson screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oshan Jackson!
A very excited looking Oshan Jackson made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
In defeat, Byron Tipton stepped up to the mic, saying 'I know I am only 24, but I am retiring. Obviously I dont have what it takes to become a champion, there is no reason to put my body at harm for something that I suck at.'.
