Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lowell Bowers (ranked 6437 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Sheran Ginger (ranked 6285 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lowell Bowers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ed Sheran Ginger!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ginger keeps the fight on the outside.

Bowers clinches with his opponent.
Ginger wants a takedown but no success here.
Bowers fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Ginger tightens his grip and picks Bowers up, before dumping him to the ground. Bowers manages to land in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bowers has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Ginger decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bowers, up you get!

Ginger darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bowers is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ginger in particular looking to stall.

Ginger decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Bowers shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ginger manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ginger has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bowers has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bowers is looking to clinch but Ginger is avoiding it.

Bowers jumps guard and drags Ginger to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Ginger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bowers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ginger has managed to get both his arms back between Bowers's legs - danger averted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ginger has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bowers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ginger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ed Sheran Ginger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bowers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Ginger shoots for a double leg takedown but Bowers sprawls well. He's pushed Ginger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nice takedown defense from Ginger. No joy for Bowers on that attempt.
Bowers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bowers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ginger tries to avoid it but Bowers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ginger to the ground. Ginger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ginger drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bowers defends it well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lowell Bowers. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bowers leaves Ginger with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A quick step to the side and Bowers tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Ginger gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Ginger is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bowers's half guard.

Bowers is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ginger pulls his head out easily.
Ginger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ginger lands with some strikes.
Bowers is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Bowers tries to reverse the position but Ginger maintains control.
Ginger sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
A nice elbow there by Ginger.
Ginger controlling the pace for now.
Bowers tries to lock up and control but Ginger gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ginger takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lowell Bowers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ed Sheran Ginger is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Ginger can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bowers is looking to escape.

I've got Ginger winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
