The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre with a lazy takedown attempt
and Darwin counters with a stiff right hand.
George St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Darwin.
Darwin's corner calls for a 1-2. Darwin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Darwin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from St Pierre.
Darwin scores with a jab. St Pierre acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Darwin lands a left and a right that send St Pierre crashing to the mat, dazed. Darwin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
