Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Goran Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Perrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 9 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Goran Schwarzeneg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rodrigo Perrero! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perrero keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Perrero fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Schwarzeneg on the side of the head. Perrero misses with a series of wild punches.
Schwarzeneg closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Perrero wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Schwarzeneg pulls guard. Perrero tries to stand but Schwarzeneg is controlling from the bottom. Schwarzeneg is pulling down on Perrero's head to control his posture. Schwarzeneg looking to hit a scissor sweep but Perrero is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schwarzeneg is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Schwarzeneg keeping moving, preventing Perrero from controlling successfully. Schwarzeneg looking to hit a scissor sweep but Perrero is one step ahead there. Perrero decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perrero misses with a body punch
and Schwarzeneg counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Perrero! Schwarzeneg stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Schwarzeneg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Schwarzeneg controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schwarzeneg escapes and gets back to his feet. Schwarzeneg is breathing heavily. A head kick by Perrero misses and Schwarzeneg counters with a lovely shot to the body. Rodrigo Perrero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Schwarzeneg looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Perrero!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perrero wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Perrero just trying to survive but Schwarzeneg is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Schwarzeneg is throwing strikes by Perrero counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Perrero regains half guard. Schwarzeneg stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Goran Schwarzeneg dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Perrero tries a head kick but it misses.
Schwarzeneg moves into range and connects with a jab. Schwarzeneg throws a front kick aimed at Perrero's knee but Perrero avoids it well. Perrero scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Perrero wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Schwarzeneg has him pressed against the cage. Schwarzeneg's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Schwarzeneg looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Schwarzeneg is figuring out what he wants to do next. Schwarzeneg prevents Perrero from standing back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schwarzeneg stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schwarzeneg stands up from half guard. A jab from Perrero does it's job there. Goran Schwarzeneg is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Perrero misses the jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Perrero tries to clinch up and Schwarzeneg counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Perrero is looking to escape. Schwarzeneg wants to lay and pray for a moment but Perrero keeps working. Schwarzeneg prevents Perrero from standing back up.
Schwarzeneg is just content to waste time from the top position. Perrero takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Perrero wants to stand up but Schwarzeneg is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schwarzeneg wants to stand and escape but instead Perrero has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Perrero gets to his feet. Schwarzeneg looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Perrero throws a nice looking combination but Schwarzeneg bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Schwarzeneg takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A right-left combo lands from Perrero. Schwarzeneg misses with a double jab.
Perrero darts in trying to clinch and Schwarzeneg holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Perrero tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Perrero wants to break the clinch but can't.
Schwarzeneg tries to pull guard but Perrero holds him up against the cage and eventually Schwarzeneg drops back down to his feet.
Perrero tries to break the clinch but Schwarzeneg is controlling the position. Schwarzeneg has Perrero pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Perrero manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Schwarzeneg tries to pull guard but Perrero won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Goran Schwarzeneg. That's going to take a lot out of him. Perrero wants to break the clinch but can't.

Goran Schwarzeneg dominated that second round. That's time! Schwarzeneg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Perrero takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Perrero throws out a loose jab but Schwarzeneg uses good head movement to avoid it. Perrero throws a right hand that Schwarzeneg ducks under and follows up with a left that Schwarzeneg also avoids with ease. Perrero with a body punch. A glancing blow. Perrero throws a nice head kick!
Perrero lands a head kick. Schwarzeneg smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Perrero misses with a wild combination.
Perrero misses with an uppercut. Schwarzeneg rushes Perrero and presses him up against the cage. Schwarzeneg tightens his grip and picks Perrero up, before dumping him to the ground. Perrero manages to land in guard. Schwarzeneg sitting in guard here, content to control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Schwarzeneg postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perrero wants to stand but Schwarzeneg is controlling the position. Perrero can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Schwarzeneg controls the pace. Schwarzeneg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perrero swivels though and keeps the full guard. Schwarzeneg stops Perrero from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Schwarzeneg postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Perrero tries to clinch and Schwarzeneg counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Perrero trying to hold on to Schwarzeneg's head to control him but Schwarzeneg postures up.
Schwarzeneg tries to pass the half guard into mount. Perrero knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perrero trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Schwarzeneg manages to pass to mount!
Schwarzeneg misses with a head shot. Perrero slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Perrero is not content to let Schwarzeneg control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Schwarzeneg is working for a submission of some sort.
Perrero is trying to stand up here but Schwarzeneg is controlling him well.
And that's the end of the fight! Goran Schwarzeneg showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Schwarzeneg, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
