Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Chambers (ranked 6199 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abu Azaitar (ranked 6207 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matthew Chambers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Abu Azaitar!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chambers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And Azaitar tries to counter it with a takedown but Chambers pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Azaitar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chambers tries to avoid it but Azaitar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chambers to the ground. Chambers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Azaitar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chambers to the mat! Chambers manages to get full guard.
Azaitar stays in close to Chambers's body and controls the position.
Chambers preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Azaitar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Azaitar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chambers is trying to hold Azaitar in close to prevent damage but Azaitar has managed to pass into half guard.
Azaitar wants to take a breather but Chambers is having none of it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Chambers is controlling Azaitar's trapped leg to prevent Azaitar from advancing to side control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Nice takedown defense from Azaitar. No joy for Chambers on that attempt.
Chambers fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Azaitar checks it well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Chambers gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Azaitar misses with a two punch combination.
Azaitar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chambers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Azaitar somewhat.
Chambers attempts a counter takedown but Azaitar avoids it well and moves away.
Azaitar shoots in but no luck this time.
Matthew Chambers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abu Azaitar.
Chambers instigates a clinch.
Chambers is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Azaitar can't fight it off and eventually Chambers manages to take the fight to the floor. Azaitar looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Azaitar has his feet on Chambers's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chambers is defended easily by Azaitar.

Azaitar rushes Chambers and presses him up against the cage.
Azaitar tries to score a body lock takedown but Chambers shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Chambers misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Azaitar.
Chambers is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Azaitar to keep the fight standing.
Azaitar jumps into guard, dragging Chambers to the mat.

Azaitar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chambers manages to get himself to full guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Azaitar shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Chambers pushes Azaitar off but Azaitar dives into side control.

Azaitar works to advance to full mount. Chambers defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Azaitar wants to control the pace but Chambers is squirming around nicely.
Chambers wants to hold on but Azaitar pushes him away.

Azaitar is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Chambers has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
