Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jims (ranked 5191 p4p, 238 weight class) and Wesley Perkins (ranked 4372 p4p, 204 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Jims! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wesley Perkins! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perkins closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jims circles away. Horrible takedown attempt by Perkins or perhaps it was just good defense by Jims, which made it look bad. Perkins gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jims to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jims trying to control the position from guard on top but Perkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Perkins wants to control the position but Jims says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Jims trying to pass the guard but Perkins defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perkins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jims is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jims stalling. Perkins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jims trying to pass the guard but Perkins defending well. Jims seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Perkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jims passes the guard and advances to mount! Perkins tries to lock up and control but Jims gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jims controlling the position easily from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perkins wants to control but Jims is having none of it. Jims looking to control but Perkins is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Perkins wants to control but Jims is having none of it. Perkins is looking to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perkins stops Jims from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Jims controlling from the full mount. Jims trying to control but Perkins is having none of it. Perkins really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Jims tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Perkins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Perkins blocking the ground and pound. Jims swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Perkins is now in Jims's guard. A big mistake from Jims there, giving up the dominant position! Perkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Jims is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jims controls Perkins momentarily but Perkins frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jims is really struggling to control Perkins but he's trying to hold on to the position. Perkins wants to control from the top but Jims keeps moving. Jims is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Perkins trying to control but Jims is working from the bottom. Jims can't keep his opponent in guard - Perkins advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Jims dominated that round. That's time! Jims's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Perkins fails with the takedown and Jims counters with a takedown into side control. Jims is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Perkins has escaped the position, nice work there. Perkins trying to remain calm as Jims controls from the top position. Jims swings around for an armbar but Perkins sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jims's guard. Perkins trying to control but Jims is working from the bottom. Jims controls Perkins momentarily but Perkins frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perkins slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Perkins looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perkins is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jims knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Perkins is breathing heavily. Perkins tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Jims keeping his opponent close. Jims regains half guard. Jims is looking for a sweep. Perkins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jims is looking to control Perkins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jims avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jims is defending against the submission attempts here by Perkins.
Jims is looking for a sweep. Perkins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Perkins trying to control from Jims's half guard. Jims has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Perkins tries to free his leg and advance position but Jims is retaining full guard. Perkins sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Jims doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Perkins paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Jims - great work!
