Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darth Vader (ranked 1461 p4p, 68 weight class) and BJ Arnold (ranked 1497 p4p, 70 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vader shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Arnold eats them both and turns towards Vader to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Good shot there by Vader .
Arnold walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Vader checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Vader throws a nice inside leg kick.
Vader lands with a kick to the temple. Arnold shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Arnold scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Darth Vader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Vader decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Arnold's guard.

Vader stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arnold swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Arnold might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vader haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
