Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pikku N�k�r�inen (ranked 1511 p4p, 164 weight class) and Gray Maynard (ranked 1141 p4p, 126 weight class). Gray Maynard told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
N�k�r�inen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
N�k�r�inen drives through with a takedown into guard.
N�k�r�inen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Maynard keeping moving, preventing N�k�r�inen from controlling successfully.
N�k�r�inen with a nice head shot there.
Maynard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. N�k�r�inen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. N�k�r�inen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maynard working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because N�k�r�inen has passed into half guard!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
N�k�r�inen wants to control but Maynard is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
N�k�r�inen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Maynard actively working from the bottom here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Maynard is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but N�k�r�inen pulls his head out easily.
N�k�r�inen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Maynard wants to get back to his feet.
Maynard is not content to let N�k�r�inen control the position.
N�k�r�inen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Maynard has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for N�k�r�inen. Oh but Maynard has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! N�k�r�inen goes limp - he's gone! Maynard jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
