Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Guterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Guterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Jones! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guterson closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Guterson pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Guterson shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense. Chris Guterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Guterson misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Guterson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Guterson tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range. Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Guterson defends it well. Jones stalling away here and it's allowed Guterson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Guterson keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones stands and steps away. Guterson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guterson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guterson trying to control but Jones postures up.
Jones looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jones seems to be working for a kimura but Guterson defends the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to pass to mount but Guterson is defending the position. Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Guterson is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold. Guterson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. Jones looks gassed! Guterson is trying to stand back up but Jones is controlling him
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Guterson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Guterson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones. Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Guterson is defending well.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Guterson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Guterson tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Guterson is defending well.

Guterson is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Jones dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Guterson can pounce on him.
Guterson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guterson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Guterson wants to get back to his feet but Jones passes into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Guterson tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control. Guterson wants to get back to his feet.
Guterson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Guterson tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Guterson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones. Jones works his way into full mount! Jones lands a heavy elbow. Jones is standing up, even though he is in mount. Guterson misses with a takedown and Jones counters with a leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Guterson looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well. Jones looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Guterson trying to control the position.
Jones stands up over Guterson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Guterson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Guterson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guterson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. Guterson wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position. Guterson wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Guterson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jones has his foot on Guterson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Guterson works his way back into a safe position though. Jones looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Guterson is defending well. Jones quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Guterson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jones celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
