Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Connor Lourens (ranked 2438 p4p, 333 weight class) and Boa Link (ranked 5445 p4p, 608 weight class). Link has chosen Peak Times by Switch as his entrance music. Connor Lourens has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Boa Link!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Link will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've been told by Lourens 's head coaches at Gizmo's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Lourens scores with a hook.

It looks like Boa Link has been cut.
Link shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lourens sprawls well. Lourens wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Link gets slowly back to his feet.
Lourens waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Link.
Link goes for a double leg but Lourens avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lourens continues to drive forward.
Connor Lourens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boa Link.
Lourens wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A jab from Lourens does it's job there.
Lourens looks for the body kick but Link saw that one coming.
Link walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Lourens paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Lourens throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Link has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A shot to the liver by Lourens . Beautiful body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice takedown defense from Lourens . No joy for Link on that attempt.
Lourens appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Link throws a body kick that misses
and Lourens counters with a nice uppercut.
Boa Link seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lourens lands a body shot.

Link on the wrong end of a nice jab.

That has opened up Boa Link's cut even more.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lourens .
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Link.
Lourens lands a nice shot to the body.
Link looks winded!
Lourens lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Link circles away quickly and effectively.
Link appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Lourens checks a leg kick nicely.
Lourens lands a glancing blow to the side of Link's head.
A jab from Lourens finds it's way through Link's defenses.
Link takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Lourens lands a big uppercut and Link crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Link looks OK. Lourens waves Link back to his feet!

Link is rocked!

The cut above Boa Link's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lourens misses with a low kick.
Link is still on wobbly legs! Can Lourens finish him?
Lourens throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Link seems to have recovered his senses.
Lourens flashes Link a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Link's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Link crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Lourens punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
