Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Jones (ranked 6298 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raneiro Gaspare (ranked 6572 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nathan Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raneiro Gaspare! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gaspare shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jones tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gaspare manages to circle out of the way. Jones has Gaspare up against the cage in a clinch.
Gaspare breaks from the clinch.
Gaspare throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. Oooooh!!! Gaspare has knocked Jones down with a huge combo! Gaspare steps away and waves a wobbly Jones back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Jones is rocked!
It looks like Nathan Jones has been cut. Jones lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones slips a jab from Gaspare. Jones seems to have got his legs back now. Jones lands with a hook. Gaspare tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Raneiro Gaspare has been cut. The fight moves into the clinch position. Gaspare jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Gaspare gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jones clinches up with Gaspare and pushes him back against the cage. Jones throws a head punch that misses. Jones tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gaspare's elbow. We've been hearing reports that Jones has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A short right hand to the side of the head by Jones. Gaspare misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Jones throws a head punch that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gaspare tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Gaspare drops back down to his feet.
Nathan Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raneiro Gaspare. Jones gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gaspare.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Jones. Gaspare throws an elbow but it misses.
Jones lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Jones lands a left hand.
Jones manages to break the clinch.
Gaspare fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jones clobbers Gaspare with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Jones moves into range and clinches up with Gaspare. Jones misses with some punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones pushes Gaspare back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Jones lands on the inside with an uppercut. A right hand to the body from Jones.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gaspare pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gaspare is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gaspare gets tackled into the cage by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch. Jones struggles to land a body shot inside as Gaspare controls his hands.
Gaspare goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jones gets a clinch. A short uppercut from Jones. A short left from Jones.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gaspare ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gaspare no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Jones won't allow Gaspare to sweep him here. Gaspare is controlling Jones's posture. Gaspare looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jones is defending well. Gaspare quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jones has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gaspare celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
