Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Gracie avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gracie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silva.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Silva clinches up with Gracie and pushes him back against the cage.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gracie. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gracie.
Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gracie sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The fighters circle momentarily. Silva darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gracie is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Gracie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gracie cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Silva has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silva has left one of his arms exposed and Gracie doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Silva screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
