Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Murder Ones (ranked 6271 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Semu (ranked 7222 p4p, 717 weight class). Antonio Semu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Murder Ones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Semu! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Semu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sloppy strikes from Ones. Those never looked like landing. Semu misses with a wild body shot. Semu lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Murder Ones has been cut. Ones feints a jab promting Semu to slip. Ones then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Semu slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Antonio Semu has been cut. Semu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Semu doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ones counters with a head kick that drops Semu to the mat! Semu scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Semu is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Ones scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Semu throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Semu is still on wobbly legs! Can Ones finish him? Ones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Semu wants to get back to full guard. Semu looks winded! Ones trying to pass the guard but Semu defending well. Ones takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Semu seems to have recovered his senses. Ones controlling the pace. Semu looking for a kimura from the bottom but Ones passes into side control! Semu felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Semu tries to buck Ones off but Ones is having none of it. Semu prevents Ones from moving into mount. Semu wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Semu is trying to get back to half guard. Ones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Semu keeps working. Ones is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Semu has escaped the position, nice work there. Ones looks up at the clock and then as Semu takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ones smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Semu is looking for a sweep. Ones lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Semu down.
Ones is trying to get an arm triangle but Semu is defending well. Ones goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Semu rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ones's guard! Nice work there by Semu! Semu slips nicely into half guard. Semu is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ones sees it coming and defends easily. Semu is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Semu jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ones is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ones and Semu has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Semu tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Semu goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ones has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Semu but great work by Ones. Ones is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Semu prevents Ones from improving position. Semu is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ones is controlling him well. Semu is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ones is putting a hurting on Semu here, landing some big shots from side control. Semu is trying to improve his position. Ones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Semu keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Murder Ones will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Semu pinned against the cage. Semu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A right-left combo lands from Semu. Ones tries to clinch there but Semu circles away.
Ones jabs Semu to the body, keeping him at a distance. Semu throws a series of punches but Ones moves out of range. Semu fails with a takedown attempt. Ones feinted with a counter takedown. Murder Ones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice cross by Semu. Semu scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Semu is breathing heavily. Ones moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ones tries for a takedown. No joy.

Semu changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ones fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Semu misses with a series of wild punches.
Ones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Semu to the mat! Semu manages to get full guard. Ones sitting in guard here, content to control. Ones scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Semu looking for a sweep. Not yet Semu, not yet. Ones stands up from Semu's guard - Ones perhaps looking for a knockout. Ones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Semu. Murder Ones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Semu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ones throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Ones swinging wildly here.
Ones slips a jab and a cross from Semu.
Ones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are battling for position here. Semu manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Semu working for a triangle but Ones defends it easily.

Ones is looking to take a break and control but Semu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Semu tries to bench press Ones off him but Ones keeps the position. Ones working the head and body with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ones in side control lands a decent elbow. Semu tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Semu tries to get back to half guard but can't. Semu really wants to buck Ones off and get back to his feet. Ones working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Semu turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ones off and cradles Semu's limp body as Ones celebrates with his corner.
