The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin misses with a takedown
and Macks counters with a three punch combo that has Martin backing up. Martin nods at Macks to acknowledge the strikes.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Martin jumps guard but Macks stands there with Martin around his waist. Martin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Macks tries to break free but Martin pushes him back against the cage.
Martin prevents the takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Martin goes for a takedown attempt but Macks pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Macks is pawing at Martin, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Martin's nose. Martin is badly hurt! Macks pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Martin tries desperately to hold on but Macks is relentless in his assault! As Martin receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Macks away and this one is in the books!
