Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Cook (ranked 3778 p4p, 487 weight class) and Kim Babbitt (ranked 3252 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kim Babbitt ! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cook sizes up Babbitt with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Babbitt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Cook moves out of range as Babbitt throws a body kick.
A quick step to the side and Cook tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Babbitt lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Cook throws a right hand that Babbitt ducks under and follows up with a left that Babbitt also avoids with ease. Cook misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kim Babbitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Babbitt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Babbitt attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Babbitt misses with an attempted mid kick.
Babbitt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cook manages to avoid it. Cook uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Babbitt .

It partially lands. A punch lands to the side of Cook 's head but he takes it in his stride. Babbitt connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cook momentarily.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Babbitt as Cook tries to tie him up. Cook pressing his opponent against the cage. Babbitt presses Cook against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Kim Babbitt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Cook has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Cook scores with a jab. Despite the aggression on Babbitt 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Cook swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Cook is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! An inside leg kick lands from Babbitt . Oh Cook is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Good exchange - Babbitt coming out on top. Babbitt throws a powerful right kick. Cook tried to block low but the kick was high! Cook was taken right off of his feet! Babbitt jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
