Piper has chosen Roddy entrance as his entrance music. Roddy Piper has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dennis Wallace's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dennis Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Roddy Piper!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A low kick from Piper is predictable there

and Wallace counters with a nice double leg into side control. Piper won't be happy with that.
Piper is looking to regain half guard here but Wallace keeps moving and retains side control.
Piper looking for a sweep but Wallace has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Wallace wants to take Piper's back but he can't do it this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Piper gets back to half guard.
Wallace throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Piper moves into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Wallace decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Piper, up you get!
Piper keeps the fight on the outside.

Piper gets the takedown into side control.

Piper has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Piper fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wallace sprawls well initially but Piper persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Piper is taking a breather. Wallace says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Piper working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Piper working over Wallace with some ground and pound. Wallace looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Piper landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Piper is just content to waste time from the top position. Wallace takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wallace keeping moving, preventing Piper from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Piper stands up from Wallace's guard - Piper perhaps looking for a knockout.
Piper circles away from the clinch attempt.

Piper fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wallace sprawls well initially but Piper persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Wallace is staying active underneath Piper, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Wallace wants to improve his position but Piper is controlling well.
Ground and pound from Piper.

Piper stands up from half guard.

Piper clinches with his opponent.
Wallace drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wallace is looking for a takedown.
Piper is trying to break free.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Wallace breaks from the clinch.

Piper changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wallace looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wallace throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Wallace could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Piper forces Wallace back against the cage and clinches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wallace has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Piper avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wallace drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wallace goes for a takedown in the clinch but Piper prevents it.
Wallace is breathing heavily.

Piper gets control of Wallace's arms and successfully pulls guard. Piper will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Roddy Piper will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Dennis Wallace's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Piper scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wallace is trying to improve his position.

Piper looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Piper tries to move into full mount but can't pass Wallace's legs.
Piper lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Wallace down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Piper tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Roddy Piper has got the better of the ground game so far.

Piper is working to tighten his grip on Wallace's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Wallace has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Piper is really squeezing tight and eventually Wallace passes out! Piper breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Roddy Piper!
Roddy Piper bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
