Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Riker Brick (ranked 6323 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuji Nakamura (ranked 24701 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryuji Nakamura is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Riker Brick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuji Nakamura! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brick bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Brick in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Nakamura struggling a bit here. Brick thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Nakamura regains half guard. Nakamura flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brick controlling the pace. Brick seems to be working for a kimura but Nakamura defends the submission attempt. Brick wants to stand up but Nakamura is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brick throwing shots but Nakamura is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brick is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Nakamura trying to control from the bottom.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brick in particular looking to stall.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nakamura looks for a takedown but Brick sprawls well. Brick swats away the attempt to clinch by Nakamura. Brick fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nakamura to the ground. Brick is now in Nakamura's guard. Brick won't allow Nakamura to sweep him here. Nakamura can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brick controls the pace. Nakamura had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brick defends it easily. Nakamura is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamura looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Brick wanted to stand there but Nakamura had control of the position. Brick controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Nakamura looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brick working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nakamura looking for a sweep. Not yet Nakamura, not yet. Nakamura looking to control but Brick passes into half guard.
Nakamura tries to roll over but Brick keeps him under control. Brick is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Nakamura is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Brick's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Brick's back! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Will Nakamura go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Riker Brick dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nakamura tries to clinch but Brick is having none of it. Brick gets a double leg takedown into Nakamura's guard. Nakamura is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Brick presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Brick has clasped his hands together around Nakamura's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nakamura is trying to improve his position. Brick staying calm. Brick is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nakamura is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Check out the look on Brick's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Nakamura is looking for a sweep. Brick just content to control the position. Nakamura tries to bench press Brick off him but Brick keeps the position. Nakamura is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Brick has just dragged him back down to the mat. Brick controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nakamura tries to get back to half guard but can't. Brick tries for a kimura but Nakamura is defending well. Brick content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Brick landing a few strikes. Nakamura struggling a bit here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brick lands a few punches from side control. Nakamura regains half guard. Nakamura trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Still in half guard, Brick seems content to control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nakamura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brick pinned against the cage. Brick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nakamura tries to close the distance and clinch but Brick swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nakamura shoots for a double leg takedown but Brick sprawls well. He's pushed Nakamura's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nakamura gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Nakamura is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brick is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Brick stands and throws Nakamura's legs to the side, diving into side control. Brick tries to move to full mount but Nakamura actually manages to regain half guard. Brick keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nakamura wants to improve his position but Brick is controlling well.
Brick wants to pass the guard but Nakamura is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Riker Brick dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Brick looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nakamura! You can see the frustration on Nakamura's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Brick in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Nakamura wants to control but Brick postures up. Brick landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Brick is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nakamura knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Nakamura is looking to reverse the position. Nakamura prevents Brick from improving position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nakamura is trying to buck Brick off. Nakamura tries to improve position but can't. Nakamura is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Brick off and has taken his back! Brick is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nakamura can do to turn this around? Nakamura doesn't have the hooks in and Brick manages to turn into his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brick wants to stand and escape but instead Nakamura has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Brick is looking to sweep but instead, Nakamura has passed into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Brick manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Brick on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brick tries to get out of the position. Brick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nakamura's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brick passes Nakamura's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Brick controlling the action here. Nakamura tries to get to full guard but Brick has control of the leg. Brick is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brick working over Nakamura with some ground and pound. Nakamura looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
And that's the end of the fight! Riker Brick showed his dominance in that final round. Well Brick has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
