Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Master Roshi (ranked 2544 p4p, 251 weight class) and Leka Vasara (ranked 2901 p4p, 278 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Master Roshi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leka Vasara! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roshi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Vasara swings for the body but Roshi moves out of range.
Vasara tries to score a power double leg takedown but Roshi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vasara somewhat. Roshi gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Vasara shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roshi as he jumps to the side. Master Roshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leka Vasara. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roshi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vasara. Roshi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vasara. It looked like Roshi was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Vasara looks to score with a jab to the body but Roshi is just out of range. Roshi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasara fails with a takedown attempt. Roshi seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Vasara shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roshi as he jumps to the side. It looked like Roshi was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Vasara misses with a hook. As Vasara looks to move away, Roshi throws a big counter combo but Vasara just gets out of the way. Master Roshi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Vasara tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Roshi defends well and Vasara ends up having to push Roshi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Vasara scores with a jab to the body. Vasara with a poor takedown and Roshi counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Roshi slaps away a takedown attempt from Vasara, before circling back to the center of the mat. Roshi lands with a cross. Vasara fails to land the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasara dives in for a single leg takedown but Roshi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Roshi appears to be looking for a big counter. Vasara scores with a jab to the jaw. Vasara gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Roshi counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Leka Vasara has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Roshi takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Leka Vasara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roshi throws a one two combo.
Vasara misses with a looping left. Vasara scores with a sloppy right hand. Roshi should have avoided that one. Vasara doesn't succeed with the takedown and Roshi counters with a straight right hand. Vasara tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Roshi defends well and Vasara ends up having to push Roshi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. As Vasara looks to move away, Roshi throws a big counter combo but Vasara just gets out of the way. Roshi misses with a straight right. Vasara throws a jab when Roshi was well out of range. Vasara misses with a takedown attempt and Roshi counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasara fails to land the takedown. Roshi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vasara. Roshi takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Vasara is rocked! Roshi throws an uppercut from hell that sends Vasara clean off his feet! He's out cold! Roshi stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Master Roshi!
